NCDV

The National Centre for Domestic Violence (NCDV) has been helping survivors of domestic violence and abuse to get protection for their abuser since 2003. They work with the police, probation service, domestic abuse agency workers, and the legal profession and judiciary.

The Challenge.

The NCDV came to us because their mobile app was hard to use and built on outdated technology. With more than 7,500 referrals from victims, police and other agencies every month and complicated data and privacy considerations, finding a solution was a formidable challenge.

Solving the problem

We invested time in getting to know the team at NCDV so we could understand the urgency and sensitivity of their mission. Our team refined how users interacted with the app to make sure NCDV could quickly and efficiently process the data to provide their fast, free emergency injunction service to victims. We studied the app’s workflows and NCDV’s internal processes to create the optimum solution.

Our solution

A user-friendly mobile app

We moved from the Ionic platform to iOS and Android, creating a streamlined and easy-to-use interface. The redesign allowed police and agencies to rapidly submit referrals to get victims the help they needed quickly.

Fit for the future

Using scalable mobile technology means the app is well-placed for future upgrades and expansion. As NCDV grows, the app can be adapted to incorporate new needs and challenges, future-proofing their investment.

A better website

We redesigned and redeveloped NCDV’s website to improve usability. As our relationship grew, we took over NCDV’s social and media and SEO services, and increased visibility dramatically.

A robust foundation

The integration of robust APIs and upgraded web services has created an efficient flow of data between different systems. The improved backend infrastructure means that the app can support the high demand for NCDV’s service, and makes the whole system more reliable.

Video Production & Content Creation

To support NCDV’s impactful campaign alongside Solace Women's Aid, we worked closely with the Four Nine team, who developed the brilliant concept and executed the production of a powerful video. This moving content captured the launch of the football shirt with the poignant message “38, remember that number,” driving awareness and engagement across social media platforms. The video became a cornerstone of the campaign, resonating with audiences and amplifying the campaign’s critical message.

Having a functioning website and app is not a luxury to us. Without them, the survivors of domestic abuse wouldn’t get the help they desperately need. The team at E-Innovate were very easy to work with with. They took time to understand our needs, and created a website and app that’s helping more people than ever before.
