Surface Restore
Surface Restore is one of the UK’s leading surface repair specialists, delivering high-quality cosmetic repair services across residential, construction, insurance, and hospitality sectors. Since launching in 2003, the business has grown from a local service to a national operator - with a sharp focus on professionalism, precision and performance.
The Challenge.
As Surface Restore scaled, so did the complexity of its operations. The business relied heavily on third-party tools, which limited flexibility and ownership of its technology. To unlock new levels of efficiency, control and growth - and to create a potential revenue stream through software IP - they needed to build their own digital platform from the ground up. They approached E-Innovate to design and develop a fully bespoke web and mobile platform to futureproof their business, streamline internal operations, and create opportunities for software licensing.

We designed a custom-built digital system centred on Laravel for the web and React Native for mobile - giving Surface Restore a scalable, secure and smart infrastructure to grow with.
Solutions
Robust Web Platform
We built a robust web platform using the Laravel framework, focused on performance, usability, and control. At the heart of the system is a dynamic dashboard that allows Surface Restore to manage jobs, schedules, clients, and resources with ease - including an intuitive drag-and-drop interface for real-time scheduling and updates.
Mobile Apps
To support operatives in the field, we created a React Native mobile app that works seamlessly across both iOS and Android. Built from a single codebase, the app reduces development time and future maintenance costs, while delivering a consistent user experience across devices.
Operational Efficiency
The app gives operatives everything they need on the go - from live job tracking with geo-tagging, to the ability to update statuses, capture customer signatures, submit holiday requests, and order stock. It also includes live chat and document signing, allowing for real-time communication and compliance. All of this connects back to the admin system, creating one joined-up workflow between teams in the office and out in the field.
Custom Modules
The platform includes a suite of custom-built modules tailored to Surface Restore’s operations. These include postcode lookup, geo-tagged job tracking, multi-user job assignments, SMS and email communications, and a direct integration with Xero for invoicing. Laravel’s built-in security features protect against common vulnerabilities, while its efficient architecture ensures high-speed data handling across the system. We also developed a full resource library and digital document workflows to simplify compliance and streamline admin processes.
