Head of SEO

As Head of SEO, you will report directly to our Founder, who is transitioning to a business development role, and you’ll have the opportunity to build a supporting team around you. You’ll play a key role in building relationships with c-suite executives and business owners, so a strong alignment with our values of honesty, integrity and enthusiasm is essential.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and delivery of SEO strategies for a variety of clients across different industries.
• Take a hands-on approach to provide clients with high-end optimisations, reports, and recommendations.
• Build strong relationships with clients, taking the lead on day-to-day contact.
• Manage and mentor the SEO team, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Perform key SEO tasks, including keyword research, content strategy, and outreach, ensuring measurable results.
• Develop and refine your own operational processes to drive efficiency, ensuring smooth workflows and consistent, quality outcomes.

Skills and Experience Required:

• 5+ years of SEO experience, preferably in an agency setting
• Comprehensive knowledge across all areas of SEO, including strategy, technical, content, authority building, and digital PR.
• Strong understanding of cost optimisation and profitability within SEO projects
• Proficient in SEO tools such as SEMrush and Ahrefs
• Skilled at communicating the connection between SEO efforts and measurable outcomes to clients.
• Proven ability to build and nurture lasting client relationships.
• Experience in leading and developing a team of SEO professionals
• Familiar with the synergies between SEO, PPC, and social media marketing.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving tangible SEO results.
• Solid expertise in Google Analytics and data-driven decision making.
